Our firm has been lucky enough to work with Kon-Strux on several projects and have found them to be highly communicative, organized, and knowledgable. They work hard to ensure that their clients are able to enjoy the renovation process, which can be otherwise stressful and overwhelming. We are so thrilled to be developing a strong working relationship with a firm that takes such great pride in their work.

This review is very simple. I have owned a counter-top company in Calgary for over 16 years. The truth of the matter is.... Shannon and her team at Kon-Strux always make our lives simple. It was a pleasure working with the Kon-Strux team. From designer to project manager and trades, they are very patient, flexible, accommodating, and easy to work with. They did spend time to understand our needs and wants. We are overall satisfied with the end product. There are areas for improvement in schedule management, practical consideration of design, and details of work. We do recommend working closely with project manager to identify issues during course of project.

Kon-strux completed a kitchen/dining room renovation project for us. The original rooms were opened which required removal of an interior wall of our 1950's bungalow, stripping back to bare wall studs and installing new ceiling/floor/walls (insulation). Custom cabinetry plus kitchen island, all with granite counter tops, were installed. The Kon-strux team were very professional through all phases of the project; from the initial design/costing consultations through project construction. The Kon-strux team members and their subcontractors were knowledgeable on all aspects of the project. The quality of the completed work was excellent and we were pleased with the final result. The project was completed within the agreed time frame and budget.

After meeting with several potential contractors, we hired Kon-Strux because of the positive attitude and work ethic that came across in our meeting with Shannon, the owner. Phase 1 in 2014 entailed updating the main floor (kitchen, living and dining rooms, front hallway plus a basement expansion). Our project manager provided weekly updates while we resided elsewhere. Any problems that arose or any deviations from the work scope were always brought to our attention in a timely manner and solutions were quickly addressed. We were impressed by the level of competence and commitment of the Kon-Strux team. We absolutely love our dream kitchen. Kon-Strux did such a professional job on phase 1 that we decided to add phase 2 in 2015 to update the rest of our 1970’s home (bedrooms, bathrooms, TV room and laundry room). We now have a new home that we will enjoy in the years to come. Many thanks to the Kon-Strux team and the trades they work with. We would certainly recommend them for any renovation project you have in mind.

Kon-strux did a huge renovation for us. We had a complete rebuild of our kitchen and dining room as well as all the windows replaced and flooring replaced on our main floor. I hated my kitchen before and now I love it. The kitchen was designed and built for maximum storage and use of space. I always wanted an island but there didn't seem to be space for one. The designer suggested we build one on wheels that tucks under my counter and then can be pulled out and moved if I need more space. It is one of the cooler parts of the reno. The trades people were wonderful and polite. The job was to take 11 weeks and it finished at 10 weeks just as I had reached the end of my rope. It also came in on budget even with few surprises that occurred as the job progressed. The finished renovation was everything I had hoped for. We could have not been more pleased with the work of Shannon Lenstra and Kon-strux.

I was replacing a 40 year old sunroom and deck with a new deck and year-round room. I am very pleased with the result - I am especially pleased to have year round use of the room. It is a most pleasant space - Shannon's people helped me choose materials and colors that I find very pleasing. Even though it is a year-round space it is still very much a garden room and it allows me to enjoy my beautiful garden despite the weather. Unfortunately I don't have pictures.

We worked with Kon-strux in 2014 to renovate the bathrooms in our home built in 1979. We were so impressed with Shannon and her team’s commitment to customer service and build quality that we asked Kon-strux to renovate our kitchen and main floor living areas. What stands out for us is the professional project management and the selection of trades people working in our home. Having made the decision to live in the home during both renovations the people working in your home matters. From demolition to completion, they kept the work site clean and safe. Our Kitchen was redesigned within the existing footprint. They designed us an efficient, beautiful kitchen with a rolling island that tucks into the counter when not in use. We are very happy with the work Kon-Strux has done in our home and would recommend them to anyone.

I hired Kon-Strux to help me with the design and construction of remodelling an Arts and Crafts style home I had recently purchased. The scope of work was considerable, essentially taking 2 floors of the house down to the studs and re-creating a modern home with elements of the original 1934 architecture weaved in. The end result is spectacular and truly exceeds my expectations. I come home and look at my house with a sense of wonder and amazement in what they created for me. Their designer did a wonderful job of taking my high level concept and collaborating with me to make it even better - there is no way I would have come up with the end result had it not been for her creativity. Their trades also did a very solid job. I was impressed with the quality of the trades they brought in to execute on the construction, and the workmanship exceeded expectations. As you might expect in a project of this magnitude, we experienced some hiccups along the way. I found Andreas and Shannon to be very responsive to these issues, and we worked together well in ensuring that problems were resolved in a timely manner. Also worth mentioning is Rob Higman, the PM assigned to my project. His communication skills were very good, he made himself available evenings and weekends when necessary to ensure we remained well-connected. I was extremely pleased with his service-oriented approach. I recognize that I am probably more demanding than many clients, and no matter how nit-picky my requests were, he responded with a smile and a commitment to make sure I got what I wanted. I would definitely recommend Kon-Strux to others looking for home renovation help. The reason I provided a 4 star rating and not 5 is that it wasn't always smooth sailing through the whole project. But the reality is nothing is going to be perfect when it comes to major construction projects (and I am a hard marker). I think they did an admirable job of resolving problems when they came up and they delivered me an excellent quality home that leaves me in awe every time I come home.

We engaged Kon-strux to help us design how to finish our top floor as well as update the master bathroom and install railings on the stairs. We had an excellent experience working with them. Shannon was always extremely responsive any time we had questions or concerns and was quick to remedy them. We didn't click with the initial designer matched with us and as soon as we mentioned it to Shannon she took steps to pair us with a new designer and ensure we were happy. They worked hard to ensure we got exactly what we wanted and the workmanship was excellent!

kon-Strux Developments renovated our kitchen and living room in early 2016. The scope of work included creating an open concept floor plan from multiple rooms, gutting and designing a complete kitchen, and redoing old, outdated railings. As this was our first renovation, we relied heavily on the Kon-Strux team for design ideas, and Shannon and Nicola made it easy to make decisions on items such as custom cabinets, flooring and tile. The tile design under the hood fan that was recommended has turned out to be one of our favourite parts of our kitchen. Our project manager, Brady, was extremely professional in keeping us up-to-date on the project's progress and made suggestions that enhanced the final product. Our renovation was completed on budget and absolutely to our satisfaction. We would recommend Kon-Strux to anyone who is considering any home renovation.

From the first phone call we knew we would be treated well with this company and they definitely did not disappoint. We were well informed with a detailed initial report and estimate and then received regular updates each step of the way. The team worked so quickly on our bathroom repair without disrupting our lives. Sometimes we could hardly tell that they had even been in the house except that a lot of work (that should have been very messy) had been completed. We couldn't be happier with their completed work.
