Dan did amazing work for me. He has a special talent for arranging art work and hanging everything expertly. He rearranged furniture and used items that I already owned to create much more pleasing and useful spaces. He had excellent ideas of how to improve the arrangement of my furniture. Dan is very pleasant to work with. He always kept me updated on projects and completed work on time. We have more projects to work on in the near future and I look forward to beginning on these.

I relocated from Maryland and needed to update the townhouse that I purchased. Dan was the consummate professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. We collaborated by selecting furniture and accessories, and even blended some of my own furniture into the plan. He listened to what I wanted to accomplish and recommended perfect colors for my walls and fireplace. He was easy and fun to work with, I enjoyed our furniture and accessories shopping trips and we always ended on the "same page" which is not always easy since my taste is eclectic. I highly recommend Dan for any project large or small, he will make the dreams you have for your home a reality!!!

My partner and I recently moved to the area from the midwest. We moved from a small townhouse into a much larger house so we had a lot of empty space to fill and it all seemed overwhelming. Dan helped us transform the big empty house into a home. He was very conscious of our limited budget and helped us to also incorporate all of our existing pieces into the design. It has been a great experience working with Daniel Dionne Designs! Dan takes a truly customized approach. He was able to integrate our existing pieces of ethnic furniture, art and antiques with such creativity to give a new fresh look, down to the last detail. I feel strongly that this is a challenging skill for most interior designers and speaks to his depth of talent. Dan found ways to push us out of our comfort zone with his enthusiasm and creativity. He even worked directly with our kids on multiple occasions to get their rooms just right. His professional integrity and hands-on approach is commendable, with client satisfaction clearly top priority. When a lighting piece and some chair pillows were not performing as expected, he actually replaced these items at his own cost for us. He found ways to "spend smart" with our budget to balance quality where it would make the most impact, with more economical options in other areas. He has been able to meet scheduling commitments and also rework schedules to coordinate with our busy family's needs. We were so pleased with the main level, we moved right ahead for the upstairs, and are looking forward to completing the terrace level as well as our bathroom makeovers early in 2017. I'm very happy with Dan's results. He has transformed our house, level by level, after we moved here in 2015. What is amazing to me is his creativity in all aspects of weaving in our existing home effects with his own ideas - creating a living space that it 'us' but just beautiful. He can 'see' things where I cannot until it all comes together. Further, i have been very pleased with his flexibility, follow-up, and attention to detail. Superior communication skills. He standards are very high, and he holds himself to them consistently, as well as any 3rd party suppliers. He even interviewed our 10 years old three times to ensure that he fully understood what he wanted in 'his' room. He pushed one part of the schedule to meet a date for visiting family. Frankly, I can't think of anything I haven't been pleased with and I would enthusiastically endorse Dan for any home design project.

I was contracted by Dan, and the Delk's, to transform an existing lake home into something unique. Working with Dan on this project was an absolute dream! Dan is a fantastic teammate in our world of custom home building. He is creative, inventive, resourceful, and a total pleasure to work with. He not only listened carefully and responded promptly, he established very positive relationships with all members of our construction team. His sense of style is easily adaptable through many levels of design. Whether it be traditional, transitional, modern or a hybrid of all three. He has the ability to work with the client to give them the outcome they desire. For us as custom builders, Dan has been invaluable to work with on this project. He worked very hard to keep the owner on task, on schedule, and on budget so that we received the products we needed in a timely manner. This was all done with the highest level of professionalism, not only by Dan, but also by his suppliers and vendors. We won't hesitate to recommend Dan whenever the opportunity comes our way!

In March of 2014 , I moved from a large three story suburban home to a townhome in Decatur. I knew that I needed help to bring out the beauty of the home and make it comfortable in this new stage of life. Daniel Dionne gave guidance in every aspect of design that far exceeded expectations. I recently had the pleasure of working with Dan on a redecoration of our family room. I have never worked with a designer before, but needed to completely wipe the slate clean with new furniture and décor as nothing from our old home worked in this space, and we faced major flow and scale issues. Dan was able to solve those issues beautifully and our room looks completely different (in the best way possible). For anyone on the fence about hiring Dan, I am so glad I did. Dan knows his stuff and everything has a purpose and reason for being how it is and where it is. I had never used a designer before and I admit that there were a few times I was nervous about the outcome. However, I took a deep breath and remembered why I hired Dan, and trusted in him and the process. I (and my family) could not be happier with the end result. I had been considering a couple of local designers but once I vetted Dan here I was pretty convinced I wanted to work with him. I'm an avid Houzz user, came across Dan's work, and happened to notice he was right around the corner from me. I spent time looking at his work here, not to mention reviewing his comments/advice on this site. One of the things that impressed me about Dan in his "Houzz persona" was that he gave such helpful, specific commentary. One can tell that he knows his stuff, but he does not impart that knowledge in an intimidating manner, and also, he is willing to dispense that advice and use a great deal of his time to help. I'm happy to say that Dan in "real life" is the same. Dan spent a lot of time walking through the process with me and honing in on my likes and dislikes, and figuring out a way to bring that all together in a beautiful way, while honoring my personal style and our family's needs. I also needed to keep on a tight budget and Dan was also more than willing to assist us in selecting "off the rack" so to speak, when needed for budgetary reasons, and also in choosing appropriate custom items to meet that budget. I also can't fail to mention that Dan is an incredibly nice person and a true professional with whom I was honored to work.

I began working with Dan Dionne in approximately 2009. He was working with a partner then and we updated the Master Bedroom in our home, including wall colors, dust ruffle, bedding colors, pillows, artwork, furniture design, etc. The room looked beautiful at that point and extremely current with existing window treatments. In the Fall of 2014, I worked with Dan once again to change the window treatments and give the room a softer feel and at this point he was running his own business. We also implemented some changes in my Keeping Room then as well, and Dan handled the project. His attention to detail is explicit and I appreciated his willingness to work with some existing elements, thus keeping the cost at a very manageable level. This was crucial to me, as I have worked with several designers who insist on changing every aspect of a room thus exceeding my budget on every level. Dan was quite diligent in searching for accessories and always concerned with my opinion and what I felt comfortable changing. He never forced his design experience or style on me but always appeared to be concerned with my comfort level. I regularly received a very prompt return on my emails, texts and phone calls to him and certainly felt like my project, whatever size, was important. It was always completed in a timely fashion as well. There have been some other projects that we have collaborated on in the past and I would not hesitate to call Dan for his opinion or to mastermind my next re-do. He would treat either with equal respect. We have always had a good working and very professional relationship and I would recommend his business to anyone searching for design assistance!

If you are in the market for a creative, professional, enthusiastic and top-notch designer with a meticulous attention to detail, you should look no further than Dan Dionne. I hired Dan after reviewing the work of countless others, getting referrals from many friends, and interviewing him and several other highly regarded designers, and am so happy that I did. When I built my home, I had to make so many choices on the decor, but could not figure out what to do with my living room, dining room and foyer. All three rooms flowed together in an open layout and welcomed all of my guests each time they came over. I knew I wanted the rooms to be dramatic but warm and welcoming. I also knew I wanted them to be a reflection of me and my style, but just couldn't pull it all together. Thanks to Dan, these rooms are better than I ever could have imagined, and everyone who visits is amazed with the results. Dan took the time to get to know me, not only as a client, but as a person. He understood my style, what I was trying to achieve, and what I wanted my home to reflect. Understanding that I enjoy decorating, he treated me as a partner in the process, and made the project a true collaboration, which I really appreciated. I cannot even begin to imagine the number of hours he spent looking for ideas, options and alternatives based upon all of the ones he presented to me. Dan worked incredibly hard on this project, and it definitely shows. Dan definitely understands space planning and how to best set-up a room. He also is incredibly skilled at mixing and matching various elements (elegant, rustic, modern, French provincial) in a way that works to perfection. Dan would challenge me to be more bold when he knew it would have an impact (and he was right) but also respected my opinions and judgement throughout. His enthusiasm made him even more enjoyable to work with. Even more incredible, he started to anticipate my thoughts during the project, often calling or texting me right at the same time when I was thinking about a particular element in the rooms. Another quality of Dan's that I cannot speak highly enough of is his professionalism. He was never once late for a meeting, and always returned calls and e-mails promptly. Although he had many commitments, I always felt as though I was his only client. Dan expected this same level of professionalism from anyone who helped on the project. Painters, wall paper installers, and suppliers were expected to be on-time, professional and deliver at the highest levels of quality. If anyone fell short of his expectations, he immediately took care of the problem and ensured it was fixed. It has been almost one year since my project was completed and I'm just as happy today (if not more so) than I was when it was finished. Dan helped complete my home in a way that exceeded all of my expectations. He is the best designer in Atlanta, and the only one anyone should call for their next design project.

Dan did an absolutely exceptional job helping us complete the decor in main parts of our home - kitchen, living room, dining room and foyer. I have never worked with a home professional who was more dedicated to us as a client, more focused on every particular detail, and more responsive to us as clients. He was, and is the consummate professional, and quite frankly should be considered one of the best (if not the best) designers in Atlanta. We selected Dan after interviewing 6 different decorators, all of whom had exceptional word-of-mouth and Houzz reviews, including one who is generally regarded as the top designer in Atlanta. Dan was chosen because he understood our vision, his own vision, as well as the professional and responsive manner in which he treated us and this project from proposal to completion. We were looking for a designer who would collaborate with us, but also push us to consider ideas and concepts we never would have though of, and Dan did that for us. Dan never rushed us to make a decision, and always provided us plenty of options to consider. In fact, we had multiple meetings to review pictures and concepts before even moving forward with a design plan. Dan also was not afraid to continue to tweak and adjust the plan, particularly when he recognized an original decision that he did not think worked well, or more importantly, that we wanted to adjust. That said, he also was comfortable enough to ask us to trust him on certain items, and in each case, we are thrilled that we did. He developed ideas that were innovative and truly enhanced the beauty of the overall project, but also were incredibly practical for a family with young children. Ultimately, he helped us develop a beautifully designed home that nonetheless continues to feel warm and homey. From a professionalism standpoint, Dan's estimates always came in accurate, and he understood our budget. He was and is always responsive to our calls, texts and e-mails, as well as ensuring we were well aware of timing for delivery and installation. Whenever an issue arose (which was infrequent), Dan was the first to let us know, and usually had it resolved before even contacting us. Dan has earned our trust and faith, on this project, and for future ones. I cannot give a higher recommendation for anyone than I can for Dan. Anyone who hires him will have a designer with exceptional taste, vision, and professionalism. The only problem we have now is deciding what part of our home decorate next with him.

We can't thank Dan Dionne enough for the wonderful job that he did transforming our living room into a beautiful collage of colors and stylish furniture. Dan is very adept at honing in on your style preference. We spent very little time providing him with ideas on our style preference, but he nonetheless quickly figured it out and presented us with a variety of options (carpet, couches/chairs, drapes, lamps, and accessories) that we had difficulty choosing from because they were all on target. He brought loads of samples to our house and laid them out in a way that made it easy to visualize how the various colors and patterns would come together. As important, Dan was all about maximizing beauty and aesthetics at the best price possible. Once we had decided what we wanted to order, Dan quickly provided a detailed cost estimate and placed the order. The entire process was very smooth because Dan regularly kept us updated on delivery timing, etc. When everything arrived, he spent several hours at the house suggesting best placement, ensuring we got what we ordered, and were happy. We would strongly recommend hiring Dan as an interior decorator and will definitely use him on the next project.
