This former FORMAL living room cried out for a new identity. Prior to intervention, it was dark and stodgy and filled with heavily ornamented furniture, with large scaled patterned upholstery. Another obstacle was the awkward space plan which had the baby grand piano positioned in front of the near window, creating an overwhelming visual barrier to the space.
