Joseph Cortes’ vision caused our new apartment to be taken down to the bare walls. He moved a wall, shortened another and remade a kitchen and bathrooms to current standards. It came out better than expected. Joseph was easy to work with. He listens. He incorporates family heirlooms when possible. He has budget awareness, so often missing in his profession. His office back-up and support is excellent. His plans are clear and well documented. Most important he returns phone calls promptly and is patient. I would use Joseph again and you can too, with confidence.

I've known Joseph Cortes since our college years together at New York's Pratt Inst. of Art and Design. His design career in architectural interiors stretching from New York City to Palm Beach environs is marked by outstanding achievements. His and Kevin's long standing professionalism and dedication to their design work is well established. A look at their website of both the commercial and residential accomplishments reveals a clean contemporary aesthetic, with a lively punctuation of style throughout. It's also well worth the time to visit their smart atelier filled with a wonderfully cohesive and beautifully presented collection of furnishings and accessories!

We can not be thankful enough for the amazing job Home Life Interiors did in our Master bathroom. Joseph and Kevin's attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the design. This was a major project that needed to be executed in a very short period of time, we were amazed by how fast and beutiful the results were. Joseph was great at handleing our budget and making sure to look after our best interests and that made a huge difference when you relay on someone else to do the job. We are currently working on a smaller project and could not be happier with the results.

We are fortunate to be working with Joseph on our new home construction project. Joseph has a great way of connecting to our taste and vision while guiding us and keeping us on track. We rely heavily on his product knowledge and knowing which products are practical and suitable for our lifestyle. We had the opportunity to work with Joseph and Kevin and it was a great experience to be able to collaborate on several projects. We just completed our 2nd project with HLI and could not be happier. We hired them to design and completely renovate a mid-century modern home in 2008 and it turned out beautifully (appeared on HGTV). The project we just completed is a 1925 Spanish Mediterranean style home where we added a master bath and dressing room/closet and updated the entire home throughout. With Joseph's design of the vanities for the bath, bookcases in the Living Room, new stone fireplace, and detailed design for the bathroom tile work, we ended up with a truly unique and custom home. HLI's interesting use of wallpaper, paint colors, and textiles creates a layering effect of unexpected details. I was able to re-use the furniture they designed for my previous home which are extremely functional and unique high quality pieces. The light fixtures they selected are truly stunning. I have recommended HLI many times and will continue to do so. If you are looking for a firm that can take your likes and elevate them to a higher level of design, creating a unique and elegant home, I would highly recommend HLI.

We hired HomeLife long distance (bought a house in Florida while living in New York) on a friend's recommendation without ever meeting them personally and could not have been happier. They did room layouts for us and then made furniture recommendations, offering several choices for each piece, all well within our budget. We were doing almost the entire house from scratch and were not physically there during the ordering process so we had to have complete faith in our designers. They ordered everything, stored it and then had everything that had arrived delivered and installed prior to our arrival. The remaining pieces arrived on schedule and were problem-free as well. They have continued to be responsive to our needs as we add final touches.
