Everyone at Costa is fantastic! We met with Tony several times before we hired Costa as our builder, so it all started with him. He is very knowledgeable and professional and walked us through the process smoothly. Tracey is also very knowledgeable and helped us with certain details as well. The construction process was very smooth and anytime I had questions they were answered quickly by Tony or Chris. Dave helped us toward the end and Dennis has been very helpful since we moved in. Jeff (& team) Over the holiday Dave and I spent a lot of time reflecting on this year and the absolute insanity of it all… between Covid, raising toddlers, two dogs, the home build .. all of it has been wild. But the one thing we keep coming back to, aside from our health/family, is being so SO thankful for you guys. Your team of direct employees, your sub contractors, everyone.. every single person that we have met has left a wonderful impression on us. You guys build A LOT of homes, so maybe it gets lost on you (although with the patience we’ve experienced from each of you, I suspect not), but this process can be so stressful. Heck, when we came to you guys from our last builder, we had broken spirits and honestly weren’t even sure if building was something we wanted to do, but you guys changed that. We’ve had friends that foolishly went with other builders tell us HORROR stories about their own experiences and every. single. time. we look at each other and shake our heads and think “omg that was almost us, but THANK GOD we went with Costa”. Every step of the way you guys have been patient, up front, honest, kind.. the list goes on. This home is a massive investment for us, and as first time homebuilders this has been a little scary, but every step of the way Chris and Tony have made us feel more relaxed , calm, and confident. After several months of searching for a new house and not viewing anything remotely suitable, we stumbled across the Costa Homebuilders website advertising custom-built homes and, taking the “nothing to lose” approach, made an appointment to determine if this might be an option for us. An informal meeting with Jeff Costa followed in which we began to appreciate the advantages of working with a relatively small company that includes an architect amongst its network of subcontractors. We had taken along some magazine cuttings to demonstrate the kind of designs that might interest us and, during this first meeting, these were translated into firm design ideas by modification of existing plans in their collection. Within days, we had proper drawings of our new house design version one. These included some perfectly acceptable suggested modifications to our original ideas shaving tens of thousands of dollars from the construction costs. Costa had some lots available on which we could have built, but we were interested in a different location – Jeff Costa inspected the property we eventually selected before we purchased it in order to make sure there were no challenging issues that might drive up construction costs. Following some design modifications to take advantage of the existing land contours on the site and the inclusion of a mud room on the side of the house, a pre-construction meeting was scheduled, at which we met the team members who would be overseeing the building of our new house and were informed of the schedule we would need to follow for selection of lighting fixtures, door hardware, paint colors, bathroom and kitchen fittings, flooring, appliances, decking, landscaping etc. The sheer number of choices to be made might have been overwhelming if not for the organization and communication efforts of the Costa team. There are, of course, a lot of things that can go wrong during the construction of a house and mistakes were made, but Costa rectified them in timely fashion. In the end, our new home was delivered on time and on budget – ultimately, at comparable cost to many of the already finished but not quite suitable new houses that we had previously looked at. We are extremely glad we went this route and recommend Costa Homebuilders without reservation – a custom-built home can be more cost-effective than you might think and, more importantly, you can have exactly the features you desire.

It's hard to believe we will be in our Costa Home for 7 months very soon..... it felt like a very long process ((for me!!!!)) (first time homebuilders on our own lot) but the Costa team got us to the finish line with a beautiful new home. The process is streamlined and the standards are above and beyond what we expected. Jeff worked with us to design a floor plan that suited our needs and we are very pleased with the outcome... things that we knew we wanted were discussed up front and sometimes even included in the price up front. Tony was extremely helpful in providing ideas and input when we needed it. Chris and Adam were on site to help us when we had questions and make sure everything weren't smoothly. Dennis is so helpful to keep all our questions and anything that comes up in check! And Julie takes beautiful photos!!! Hard to believe we are in such a beautiful new home. My daughter loves her new bedroom!!! We would build with Costa again.

My husband and I built with Costa Homebuilders in 2015-2016 and could not be happier with our entire experience, start to present. We were able to select a plot and customize our home design completely to our liking. The team was incredibly helpful in giving us feedback and supporting our decisions. Not only is the Costa team full of amazing and wonderful to work with individuals, but their recommended vendors, and particularly their point persons for each vendor, are total pleasures to work with as well. We even went back to some of those vendors post-move in for smaller projects. We have been living in our Costa home for the past 7 months and the service we have received for the odd minor issue, post-move in, has also been incredible and quite speedy. All in all, it was a wonderful journey to build our dream home and we can't recommend Costa Homebuilders enough!!

This is the 2nd time we built with Costa. It was nice to design our home and use the ideas we had drawn up. Love the look and the layout .... nice and open. The hardwood we selected was well worth it and gives it a rustic feel. The stone and brick look awesome.... the kitchen turned out great as well. Many other nice features.

My husband and I give Costa Homebuilders 10 Stars! They are, quite simply...the best! Now let me tell you why... They had the same goal as we did, which was to build us THE best home! They have the expert knowledge to build on various terrains. They found that our land sloped much more than we thought once a topography map was obtained by Costa. Also, once excavation began, they found coal. Once Costa, their architect, and soil expert evaluated the site, they were able to overcome these obstacles and build our dream home. We were impressed with the materials used, and the excellent workmanship. It was evident early on, that there was a strong commitment to service. We always knew they were working hard for us. Every concern of ours was addressed and resolved. There were so many decisions to be made while building our home. Having understanding designers, like Tony, advising us helped in so many ways. Costa never attempted to sell us more than we wanted. They understand having a budget. If we wanted an upgrade, we just asked and were provided with the options and costs promptly. Even after the closing, Costa Homebuilders is there for us to insure that we are pleased! There is a one year warranty on the work they provided. My husband and I are truly very happy that we chose to build with this wonderful company!

After meeting with several builders in the area we decided to go with Costa Home builders to build our dream home in Peters township. Being in the construction industry myself I was impressed with his organized fashion of running his company, being very upfront with costs /deliverables, and being a good listener of what my family's particular needs were for the project. What I really like about Costa is that they are very clear about what is included and the standard level is above and beyond other builders. Standards include Pella windows, hardwood floors in the entry/hall/kitchen, ceramic tile in bathrooms/laundry, and wood cabinets in the kitchens and baths. They use quality materials to build a quality house. The best part of the process was getting to customize your floor plan so you really make the most out of the square feet in your house. We will not have "unused" rooms in our house. Jeff really had some great ideas on how to help us maximize space and get all of our must have items. I am very happy with my new home.

Our 2 story open floor plan house built by Costa is amazing. It is spacious with plenty of storage and closet space. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and for our growing family. The process was smooth from the start of designing the floor plan by looking at the models online to working with all the different contractors to select every single detail of the house. after interviewing 2 other builders i met with the Costa team, From the first meeting with the Costa Builders i knew it was the right fit for me. i recieved a detailed packet explaining the whole process from start to finish, what was included in the Costa standard package and the signature series. i was impressed what was standard compaired to the other builders i had consdered. Once we browsed Costa's website and then met with Jeff Costa for the first time, we ruled out all other builders in our area. The price was upfront and honest. There was no 'nickel and diming' or surprise costs. Jeff and his team talked with us about the process and then gave to us a schedule as to when each phase of the house was to be done and the dates by which we needed to make our choices. A packet was given to us with all the information we needed and points of contact for every part of the process. It's not that problems won't arise when undertaking a huge project like designing and building a house; that's part of the process. However, how your builder solves those problems and how quickly makes all the difference in the world not only to your experience, but to the end product. Costa homebuilders were quick in responding to all of our concerns and questions no matter how small or redundant. Most importantly, they made sure their solutions were in accordance with our wishes. This builder doesn't forget about you after you sign the contract or even after you move in to the house. Uniquely, Costa comes back after a year to repair any 'nail pops' in drywall, touch up paint, etc. Who does that? These days it's usually silence and absence after you pay a company. From the initial process of getting the plans drawn throughout the construction, it was mostly a pleasure. As anyone knows it is stressful, even though it is good stress. When my wife and I meet Jeff Costa, we knew his company was the one that was going to build our dream home. Costa Homebuilders is a great local builder who makes the home building process an easy one. Building a custom home certainly takes time and can be quite frustrating, but Costa does a great job of streamlining the process. Because Costa uses other local subcontractors - and has used the same contractors for many years - it is clear that everyone is "on the same page" and understands the process really well. This makes it much easier to do everything from choose lighting to hardwood floors! We really liked the idea of using a company that was from the South Hills and who used other companies from the area, as well. The only glitch we had was with the electrician, but all of the other subs were super helpful, very nice, and really easy to work with! We love our home and wouldn't do anything different! And I do need to point out that the small problems that arose following the construction of the home (every new home will have them!) were dealt with quickly and easily!
