Amber is nothing short of a Design Miracle Worker. I had recently installed SpacePak central air and needed to cover up ductwork in my vestibule. Her vision not only solved a problem but created a stunning first impression of my home. Her design managed to not only hide this eye sore but also uplifted the visuals and functionality of my entryway by featuring hooks, a bench, cabinetry, and drawers that can host coats, hats, scarves, and mittens with ease. My home renovation also included a powder/laundry room in an extremely tight space. Once again, Amber dreamed up a beautiful half bathroom while at the same time maximizing every square inch with useful and gorgeous shelving and cabinetry, and somehow created the illusion of a barely there washer/dryer unit. Amber and her entire team are a pleasure to work with. She listens closely to her clients and seeks to understand their sense of style. Concurrently, she respectfully brings forth design ideas that honor the historical architecture and style, and brings you out of your comfort zone to imagine the most potential out of your space. She has a unique ability to prioritize comfort but not at the expense of producing an aesthetically pleasing and beautiful home. I definitely plan to hire Amber again for future home renovation projects. She's a pro through and through.

We started working with Amber just weeks after the pandemic started. While we had planned to renovate for some time, home confinement kick-started our efforts to reimagine and re-tool our tired kitchen. We knew that it would be a challenge to convert a 1930's home footprint into a contemporary space with modern amenities. We also knew that the universe of choices and styles was too overwhelming to take on ourselves. Recognizing our limitations, we engaged with Amber from the outset; we are so glad we did. Amber walked us through a design, planning, and bidding process that lasted for over a year. We started from the very fundamental motivations of why we wanted to remodel and what it was we wished for in a kitchen. She approached the entire process in a way that allowed us to consider choices in a logical and efficient manner. Those choices then drove the next stage of the process and so on. As that process evolved, we considered multiple layouts with varying degrees of construction, keeping in mind budget, disruption, and other factors. It was at this point we began to understand the value of experience that Amber brought to the table. Knowing whether something is possible or practical is essential to keep the project and plan moving forward. Once we began to finalize the plan and design, her input and involvement in the bidding and building process was as important, if not more so, than the design. I don't know that we would have made it through without her. We were so happy with the results of the kitchen that we engaged Amber to design and execute on a remodel of our living room and dining room. With all of the renovations, we made it clear to Amber that we wanted to stay true to the period character of our house (cir. 1930) so that the new fit the old. The biggest complement that we receive on the renovations is when people who see if for the first time - we have to point out what is new. That required design considerations from layout down to the hardware shape and finishes. We continue to get compliments, which is nice, but above all we enjoy the space so much more.

Our recent laundry room renovation was our second project with Amber and we are thrilled with how it turned out! Amber and her staff are all-around professionals, great communicators and excellent problem solvers. We highly recommend!

We first worked with Amber Golob Interiors while working with a mutual contractor. As a tile showroom and installation company, we run across a lot of designers! Each designer is unique and the services they offer their clients vary. Amber grabbed our attention with her willingness to learn more and grow but also her attention to detail. She is always looking out for the best interest of the client by making informed decisions. She wants to be sure to select products that fit the clients everyday needs but also the aesthetic they are trying to achieve. I worked with Amber on a completely new floor plan for my small kitchen. She listened to my needs and came back with a few different plans to maximize my counter and cabinet space. We are so happy with the final floor plan, my kitchen looks big, she helped to pick out the finishes and every drawer and cabinet was well thought out. Her drawings are clear and can be given to to general contractors for an estimate with them only taking a brief look at your space.

She also is able to successfully blend seemingly unblendable styles and bring the whole house together. (We have a victorian, with a modern bent and she seamlessly honored both.) Amber Golob is a top notch interior professional and she cares about her clients for life time. As a NWFA certified flooring company we were hired by Amber Golob to perform hardwood floor evaluation. It was not one her jobs but she still wanted to support her prior client that she worked before with. She new our expertise in hardwood flooring including certified inspections. We were glad to help. I was introduced to Amber Golob by my PT. I had a limited budget, and she was very upfront and honest about the things I can and can't do. That alone made me very comfortable to work with her. She knows which contractors to talk to that was within my budget. All remodeling projects will always have things that doesn't go as plan, but Amber was quick to think of a solution and very flexible with her designs that made things go smoothly. She transformed my place that was looking like a college dorm to an amazing place to live in. Everyone who has seen my place has been wowed by it. Amber Golob Interiors provided interior design services for my psychotherapy office in downtown Chicago. I could not be happier with the results! It was a complete build-out so everything needed to be decided: carpet, wall color, baseboards, light fixtures, furniture. She did a phenomenal job of walking me through the process of choosing paint colors for the waiting room, hallway and office that set the necessary tone while also reflecting my individual taste. The space serves as both a standard office, with desk, etc, but also has a significant seating area to accommodate client sessions. I receive many compliments on the furniture layout, color and furniture choices. Amber kept track of the details so it all came together beautifully. She was easy to work with: pleasant, professional and patient. Strongly recommend.

My husband and I found Amber wonderful to work with on redesigning our living room built ins. Her collaborative and inclusive approach included asking pertinent questions about how we will use our space and became instrumental as we refined our vision. Her insights, resources, patience and positive approach was pivotal to process. She created designs to help us visualize to project, provided competing bids by quality carpenters, and worked well with our audio subcontractor who contributed to the project. I can't say enough about my positive experience with Amber Golob. She was the designer for my kitchen/first floor renovation. It was a very large project for me operationally, expense wise and near-and-dear to my heart. I LIVE in my kitchen and I love to cook and entertain. First and foremost, Amber is technically smart and detailed with a keen eye for budget/costs, construction details/measurements, etc. She is also quite artistic and creative in her approach. She had great and original ideas and could flex design-wise in many directions. There is no cookie cutter approach to her work. She has excellent taste and can work in many styles. I tend to like to mix styles tastefully and she was a big help with that. And lastly she is absolutely a "breath of fresh air". She is always positive with a great attitude, doesn't get rattled when things shift or problems crop up. She is clear/concise and holds her own very well with contractors. I selected my own custom cabinet maker and used a combination of my contractors and hers and universally everyone loved working with her. That is so important in a kitchen remodel because you are living together as a team for a few months and Amber's customer service and project management made for a harmonious experience for us all. I love my kitchen and all the changes we made on my first floor. She did a fabulous job guiding me in marrying the old and new and making it all fresh while keeping an eye on my budget. She also has great customer service skills. In the 8 months or so we worked pretty closely on this project, I never had to wait for a response from Amber. She always got back to me in a very appropriate timeframe sometimes shockingly quick. She is thorough and complete in her responses and follow-up. The best recommendation I can give her is more business - which I have. We continue to use her. I have also recommended her to two of my neighbors who are mid-project with her. They are both extremely happy. Amber is an all-around great design professional because she is excellent with detail and a good business focus combined with being uniquely artistic and creative. Add to that, her sparkling personality and you can't go wrong!

Amber has such a unique eye for style and design. We hired her to help us design our new house as my husband and I tend to have different stylistic choices. I have used Amber's services for two major projects-a complete kitchen remodel and also a re-decorating project of a first floor space including a living, dining, family and powder room. The kitchen remodel was both very technical as we were designing cabnetry and a new layout for appliances as well as design focused. I thought Amber nailed both parts of the project. My kitchen was amazing and everyone who saw it commented on how fantastic it had turned out. The re-decorating project focuses on furniture, lighting, wall coverings and art work. Again, I couldn't be more happier with the results. We host numerous events, including a 150 person holiday party, and I have had many requests for Amber's contact information as people love my new spaces.
