When we were ready to scrap our home construction project due to multiple set-backs, we found Senalee and she made our dream home into a reality. We hired Senalee to be our interior designer for an entire house remodel (down to the studs). She created the elevations for the entire house, helped with all the fixtures, flooring, tile and paint selection, and walked us through the entire construction, plus more! She is amazingly responsive, dependable, efficient and professional. From our first conversation, I could tell that Senalee was an expert in her field and she gave me the confidence to trust her every step of the way. Hiring her was probably one of the best decisions we made in the renovation process. Senalee and her assistant, Callen, worked well with our general contractors as well as other vendors and always had helpful recommendations when we needed a new vendor. As the construction was drawing to a close, they helped with furnishing the home with furniture, window treatments and accessories. Senalee has impeccable taste and was such a joy to work with. We are now thoroughly enjoying our new home and without reservation, we give her our highest recommendation.

We loved working with SVK Interior Design. We interviewed five designers to help us completely furnish an empty condo. Both my husband and I immediately felt a connection with Senalee — she was the most genuine of the group, and we felt would be the best at balancing her expertise with our own vision. Of course “our vision” wasn’t that clear as my design style and my husband’s often didn’t match. Yet, Senalee always found a way to arbitrate us to something that we both really loved. In fact, whenever we raised a concern, she thoughtfully listened and worked hard to find alternatives that addressed whatever issue we raised. In addition, she had a knack for expertly balancing statement pieces with more reasonably priced options that kept us right on our original budget. We are thrilled with our new home and highly recommend SVK Interior Design.

We've hired Senalee for a number of projects across two homes - from decorating the living / dining room in a rental to a full renovation of a newly purchased home (including renovating multiple bathrooms, a kitchen, and living spaces). Senalee's organization, timeliness, and aesthetic (of course!) were impeccable. We also appreciated her thoughtfulness around budget (ability to go high, low, or a mix) and how to get the most bang-for-buck in our design decisions. Finally, we appreciated how she and her team were able to project manage the whole experience, including taking deliveries, which was a huge time saver for us. Senalee of SVK Interior Design is the best interior designer I have ever worked with. We had a complete remodel of my home and she and Callen helped me every step of the way. Senalee was involved in every aspect of the project from the construction designs, materials, paint colors for interior and exterior, furniture and placement, art gallery wall, front and backyard design and even the selling of my older furniture. I hired Senalee, principal designer of SVK, to help us with a kitchen remodel. Having never done any home projects, Senalee was the best person to support us through learning this process. She not only was patient in her education with the steps of the process, but harmoniously brought together our budget and personal aesthetic. Senalee is a beautiful artist and a wonderful person to work with! My partner and I can't get enough of her ideas, her eye, her practicality, her style, her depth of knowledge, and her helpfulness. She has worked with us on two different houses, designing a kitchen for one and a bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, lower level (which includes 2 bedrooms, a family room and a laundry room), and even a back yard for the other. Senalee has great ideas, is able to meld multiple people's desires in a streamlined way, and keeps things sleek, unique, and individual. She is a huge resource regarding building codes, materials, contractors, architects, appliances, flooring, finishes, furniture, arrangements, etc. She is budget conscious and has a great understanding of where to scrimp and where to spend the extra buck. Senalee is nice, funny, and calm - qualities which are comforting when one is embarking on a project as disruptive as a remodel! - and she is highly communicative and available. Her sense of style is fresh and she always considers functionality at the same time. We can't recommend her highly enough!

Where do I start?! My husband and I are such huge, huge Senalee fans! She has been instrumental in helping us decorate our house from our bedroom to nursery to dining room and living room! She has an impeccable eye, and yet is also super practical and budget conscious. She does an incredible job combining reasonable basics with eye catching, special pieces. Her knowledge of what is out there and what will work in a space is impressive!! We have been so grateful for her talent in spatial planning and ability to think outside the box. She has also been able to be a tie breaker when needed between me and my husband because we both trust her implicitly. Our house is full of her touches and thoughtfulness, and it is absolutely gorgeous, unique and still very "us". At this point, I would not undertake a design project without her help.
