David Vandervort Architects Hello. This cooktop uses a downdraft fan which rises 10" vertically from the countertop when in use. It is located just on the backside of the cooktop. The actual blower unit itself is located on the exterior of the house.

David Vandervort Architects Hello. I'm not exactly sure what was used on this project. But we often use doors from Simpson Door Company that are in this style. This would most likely be a fir door - which are readily available in our area.

David Vandervort Architects Hello. The visible surface you see are concrete pavers. These are supported on plastic pedestals that elevate them above a "standard" flat roof below. This roof has a 1/4" per foot slope to downspout drains. We typically use a TPO roofing membrane for flat roofs.

David Vandervort Architects Hello. We believe that is a wide plank oak floor but we do not have specific information in this case. Sorry we couldn't be of more assistance.

Hull Forest Products Looks like either red oak or white oak, at least 7 inches wide and maybe more. We make wide plank wood floors like these, sawmill direct: http://www.hullforest.com/browse-species-c-1_17_27.html

atomicsplitlevel I am currently painting a section of my mid-century split level in a very deep gray that looks black in most light from the street. This article really helped solidify my decision through the excellent selection of examples and all of the positive comments. Thanks, I will post photo when done!
