Principal designer Susan Wesley, a certified interior designer and professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers, has created beautifully appointed spaces for a long list of distinguished clients across the United States. Highly regarded among her peers, Susan has been selected to design spaces for the Philharmonic House of Design for the past eight years. Susan’s residential and commercial projects have won numerous distinguished design awards. And her residential designs have been showcased in Coast, Orange Coast and California Homes magazines and on the NBC television program Open House. Susan literally grew up in the business as the daughter of an architect. She graduated from the prestigious Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, where she studied under famed architect Frank Gehry. Bath and Kitchen remodel. Highly recommend Susan. She's very professional and her knowledge of interior design is extensive. The process was seamless with each phase being reviewed so we knew what to expect. The transformation that occurred was beyond our expectations.

Susan Wesley is one of the finest interior designers in Orange County, or for that matter anywhere. She is incredibly diligent and detailed oriented with an incredible eye on the big picture. I never worked with an interior designer before, so when the time came to remodel my outdated kitchen I decided to venture into uncharted territory. I'm so glad I did. I hired Susan Wesley of Wesley Design, Inc. to project manage my kitchen remodel. Susan is such a talent. She is very insightful and creative and was able to guide me through the process with ease. She brought my bucket list of dreams and ideas into a beautiful and cohesive reality. From the demolition of my dark cabinets to the installation of my beautiful Kohler farmhouse sink, the whole journey was such an education. As an art director myself, I learned so much from Susan. She is generous with her knowledge and time and I never felt my vision wasn't being heard. Additionally and very importantly, Susan saved me money. She stayed on budget and her direction kept things on track. Time is money and she saved both on my project. Personally, I found Susan warm-hearted and kind and she even found a way to make a potentially stressful kitchen remodel fun and almost easy. I truly could not have achieved such outstanding results without her guidance and professionalism. Thank you Susan!

After moving to the west coast, it was our good fortune to meet Susan Wesley. From our first conversation we felt comfortable that Susan was the professional that would be most compatible and qualified to manage our project. This included everything from furniture, window treatments, paint, trim work, rugs, lighting fixtures, flooring, art work, etc... Susan works with top quality contractors who without question share and understand her vision and expectations, achieving a very high level finished product. She demonstrated numerous times that she truly cares about our satisfaction. We have worked with interior designers in many areas of the country, and truly appreciate Susan's abilities and professionalism We absolutely love the look and feel of our home and highly recommend Susan Wesley for virtually any custom home design project.

Please read this before hiring Susan Wesley of Wesley Design Inc. as it demonstrates Ms. Susan's unprofessional and dishonest way in dealing with customers. Hired Susan Wesley in good faith to have her work on updating family room, and selecting new wood floor. This designer was interested first and foremost in selling us one particular brand of wood floor which she claimed she buys directly from the manufacturer (Duchateau) and consequently getting a better price for us which proved to be absolutely false. We wanted to see more floor samples, but never did. She obtained a retainer for the amount of $3,750. In a period of 17 days, we never saw more than ONE floor sample and ONE piece of fabric which neither one we saw fit for what we wanted to achieve. As a result of our dissatisfaction for the lack of results during that period of time, we asked for the hours tally. She refused to do that, and the contract was terminated. When asked about the retainer, the result was her charging us $1,160 for 7.75 hrs. of work and nothing to show for as far as design, fabric or floor selection!!!! Best of all, she charged us for time spent on her part for solicitation and before signing the contract!!!!! She also charged us for time after she was told to put hold on the project. Not sure what Susan Wesley's design capability is, but very sure she was not professional (to say the least) in handling this project. She charges $1,160 and produced nothing. Her motive was to sell us (Duchateau) wood floor before doing anything else. She wasted our time, lost us the opportunity to achieve our goal in a timely manner. I urge anyone who's reading this review to save themselves the disappointment and the money , and to check references with people other than her vendors and a couple of her friends and don't fall for her fancy website bio.

"It was a difficult and disappointing decision but I had to terminate my relationship with Judy. I take great pride in my business and the relationships I have developed with my clients for over nearly three decades now. She is very unhappy that I terminated the contract with her but to protect my business and myself it was necessary.

I've been in the business of Interior Design since 1983 and opened my own business in 1987...29 years ago. In all that time I've never had to terminate a project before.

Judy and I worked together from September 28th to October 18th 2016. I met her some 12+ years ago, she was working in a nice department store and she waited on me often, we had some light conversation. I felt I was familiar with her and we could work together. In August/September before I started working with her she popped into my office at the Laguna Design Center. She said she needed help with her home and she wanted to work with me. She was working with another designer in the San Diego area but was unhappy. She worked on getting out of that contract because the designer wasn't doing anything and wouldn't return her phone calls. I understand why now.

We talked about a month later and she was ready to move forward. She was in a hurry to begin work and wanted to replace her old aluminum oxide coated wood floors, which were hard to take care of and not durable. My job was to replace those wood floors with a durable, non shiny, ease of care wood they could live with.

We had spent considerable time discussing her design needs in my office and on the phone before the contract was signed. She stated she was in a hurry to get started. On the day they signed the contract we met in my office so I could talk to them about the different types of wood floors on the market and compare them to their existing floors. I showed them wood samples from my library and answered questions. This was a working meeting for 1.5 hours and just a formality to sign a contract.

The following week I brought a bag of fabric samples and some wood flooring samples to discuss in her home. We also met with my wood flooring specialist/installer about her special needs and a quote. He also recommended my wood flooring solutions. The next week we met again at my office and shopped the design center for fabric, looked at more wood samples, which she took home.

In good faith I started right away on this project and gave it my best but was met with resistance to nearly every solution presented. She was unrealistic, unreasonable, anxious and texting me at inappropriate times. I asked her to please try to trust me to no avail. Unfortunately, I could no longer continue to work with her fighting me all the way and began to realize she could never be pleased. I terminated the project, gave her an accounting of my time spent in earnest working on her behalf and sent her a check for the retainer balance within two days of terminating the contract.

It is difficult and frustrating to read this review from Judy as it is filled with untrue statements."

I have been working with Susan as an electrician for over ten years now, and I would have to say that she is an amazing Interior Designer. Not only does she have great style, but she is also a natural artist....this is evident through her beautiful creations. Although I've worked with many high end designers, I have noticed a few characteristics which have set Susan a cut above many. Susan is not only very organized and structured, she is also meticulous in everything she does; scheduling, communication, design layout, etc. I have had the opportunity to watch her, first hand, deal with the customers, as well as many sub contractors. She deals with all parties involved in the most polite and professional way. I would highly recommend Susan Westly for all your Interior Design needs.
