Wedgewood stove

Hello, beautiful kitchen! Can you tell me where the homeowners got the stove refreshed? Also, was a hood needed for this build or does the exhaust vent do the job? My wife and I are building a kitchen around an old wedgewood (that needs a restore) and every hood takes away from the charm. We would love to forgo the hood like you did if possible. We are in SF if that helps.

Thanks!

Not sure where, but you might try Apple Stoves, Appliance gardens or Reliance Appliance in the Berkeley/Oakland area.

The chrome flue pipe is required to vent the products of combustion from the oven, but an actual exhaust hood is optional (although the occasional building inspector may disagree). In this case we eschewed it for just the reason you mention: it fit the homeowners' vision, and they are enough windows for general ventilation as needed.
