New doors alone won't cut it - this house needs a major revamp to this facade to make it more pleasing.

I would bring in a local architect - since none of us here can tell you where you can put additional windows or what other spaces you might add to make this place more pleasing as we don't know what rooms are on this side or what spaces you might need...
...but at the very least, I would do some sort of addition to this house, encompassing a new entry vestibule and covered porch that would emphasize the front door rather than the garages.

Thanks for the input. We are just making modest changes. This is just a lake house in a very rural feeling neighborhood. I'm an Interior Designer, so the inside is looking really good. I just want to add some interest to the front. Additional windows can't be added to the front, due to the room layout, which we like.

I agree it needs some type of porch or something to bring attention to the entry instead of the garages. We won't paint this year, but plan to in the next couple of years.

I know it's ugly, but the water views and calm feeling you feel once you're inside are priceless.

Yes, that is the question! I think one long straight trellis over both of the garage doors and then a higher separate straight trellis over the door would distract from the uneven spacing of the doors and windows.
