I need help deciding between granites and picking out paint!! We are considering a polished white delicatus granite for all counters except for the island and that would be the leather finish gold lotus granite. Do you think this will look good or be too busy? We also really love the yellow river (last pic) and it would be used on all counters if we went with this choice. We don't have any doubts that the yellow river will look good but I think our hang up in choosing is that we want to use the lotus on island (with the delicatus) but we just don't know if it works. We need to make our granite choices so we can finalize our paint. Our kitchen cabinets are just primed with Kilz in the photo below. The photo just catches the edge of one of the islands but we have one 10', then the 7' middle island, and then the counters with the hood on it. The corbels are missing right now under the hood and so are two strips of horizontal molding on the hood. The "x" design door front with glass is also missing from the very top square cabinets. The cabinets will be white except for the island and the top of the hood (from the top molding and down the curved portion, bottom band and corbels will remain white). The top of the hood and the island will be painted a charcoal grey. Benjamin Moore White dove and Iron Mountain are the white and grey paints right now. I am feeling like the white might need to be slightly softer but I don't want it to be a really yellow off-white. I just want a soft shade of white up against the charcoal. They grey would also have to change depending on the granite. Iron mountain with the yellow river and something like BM- wrought iron for the lotus/delicatus. Our hand scrapedwood floor will be 2 parts walnut and one part something with a very tiny hint of red (chesnut? I can't remember). The stick the painter used to stir the stain is in one of the photos witht the lotus and so is the grant beige wall color (also bottom beige paint sample)
