We are renovating our split level. We are installing off white shaker style cabinets, a dark oak hardwood and a super white quartzite. We still have to finalize the hardware.
When you walk in there is a 4x5 entrance area with about 11 feet ceilings. I need a fixture here. Then there's 4 steps up into the main living area. Here it is an open concept kitchen, dinning and living room. I need lighting over the island and table. I also have space for a light above sink which currently is a pot light, which I'm fine with.

I just need to know more about your style. The light fixtures you posted above is a little industrial. Is your taste modern? Traditional ? Industrial chic? Do you have a photo of your furnishings so I can better understand your style to help you with lighting.

Most importantly, what is your budget?

I would like to keep my budget around $1000.00.
The industrial chic appeals to me however i think I am more comfortable with a more traditional look. I am having a hard time coordinating all 3 areas and i think that's why I picked the pendants... because they "match"

It's hard to make recommendations without seeing the space, but I can say that your third lighting choice above doesn't play well with the first two. And none of them seem to reflect what you've saved in your lighting ideabook.

My first question though: how large are your dining table and kitchen island that the table requires three lights and the island only one? This seems exactly backwards.

I noticed that my choices do not look anything like my idea books. Im so confused. I think I should go back to the drawing board and then back to the store. thank you for your efforts and time.
