Don't paint the brick. Paint the siding an earthier color taken from the brick to tie it together better. Relace the shutters with more approriate sized ones. You'll need a roof soon so look at architectural shingles to give it some dimension in a dark grey.

I would paint brick , house wood larger. Had it done to a house looked wonderful , they where against it but very happy after it was done.

How about a raised walkway running from the front door across to the right? I looks like you walk downhill, then up some stairs to the front door.

You could do a raised wood walkway across the deepest part of the dip and take out some of the shrubbery. Then put in a dry creek bed. Agree with not painting the brick. Maintainence nightmare.
