here's my recommendation since buying from us is not an option ;) for any US customers OF COURSE buy from us ;))

looking at their floor samples will tell you A LOT about what your sofa will look like in a few years.

i think pottery barn and crate and barrel sofas look atrocious with use. we've had most of our floor samples for many many years, and they still look very good even though they get a lot of use every day ! pottery barn and crate and barrel samples look like somebody took a baseball bat to them and ran over the cushions with a tank ;)) everything looks so fabulous in their catalogs but those are just pretty pictures, really.

i can't really say how mitchell gold and basset sofas will hold up. while we replicate their styles, i don't know anyone who has bought from them directly. but i would just tell you the same thing... go to a store and look at the samples. if the cushions are frumpy... runnnn !

ethan allen comes with a price tag, but sometimes that old saying is very very true "you get what you pay for". except when ordering from us of course :) we are the exception to that rule, since our quality is impeccable and our prices are extremely affordable.... but enough with the shameless plugs... back to ethan allen... i can really only say good things about their quality. i think they are overpriced, but you will definitely get something that will last you a long time. i think their customer service is very good as well.
