I just sold the light fixture this week.

How do you remove the glass globes from the stands? I tried unscrewing the bottom retaining ring, but the opening in the glass is too small to fit over the socket. I’m assuming the glass shade has to slide up toward the top and that something connected to the electrical assembly has to be disconnected or unhooked, but I can’t see how because it’s all attached. i moved in with this already in so i have no clue how it was assembled. i want to remove the shades and put in tube lights for a more updated look.
