I live an old house with all original, dark brown wood work. It is beautiful, but I'm struggling on how to work with it - i have a light, airy style and tend to gravitate toward cool greens, blues and greys. I'm not sure what to do with the wall color - is a light grey going to clash with the dark brown of the wood? No way I can't paint the trim (according to my better half), so I need to work with it as best I can. Help!
