Budget-ish Kitchen Remodel

Below are photos of my budget(ish) kitchen remodel. We retained all existing appliances, repainted the cabinets and added hardware instead of replacing, etc. I think it came out great! What do you think?

Looks great! Under cabinet lighting would help since the overhead fluorescent fixture isn't providing enough light.

It's actually a sunroof! The lights aren't on at all in the photo.

Help please- starting to plan and budget for our much needed kitchen remodel. Keeping floors. Plan to resurface or paint cabinet boxes and replace doors and hardware, and remove backsplash. Open to ideas on color for cabinet. Planning for new counters as well. Thoughts or suggestions? Am struggling with what will look good with these dated floors, without looking too sterile.
