I don't know what this room wants to be when it grows up. All furniture/rug will eventually be replaced, so there's a lot of freedom going forward. I'm a fan of light and airy, but I'm not sure the new grey/blue color works (if it's the wrong idea or just the wrong shade I don't know). I attached a picture of the original color as well, which I thought was too much tan with all the brown tones. I don't know what will bring it to the next level. I need style/color direction please. I know this room has a lot of potential, but I don't know how to get it there.

Also wondering if I should paint or lime wash the brick on the fireplace....
