why do the holes for you pendant lights look off center?

I think I would have left some breathing room between the windows and upper cabinets.
But, it looks costly to change that now with the soffits already drywalled.

The storage is always nice. I like your layout. It looks efficient.

Since the window isn't huge, I may have also opted to leave out the skinny cabinet on the right and have the same amount of space on the other side. That being said, I think it will be fine once you have all the fixtures in place, the backsplash done , the island will be finished and have some barstools around it, etc. You'll have a lot of pretty things to attract the eye. You can never have too much storage, right? Love that you have all that room to work with!

I am not an advocate of soffits as they tend to date a room and rarely meet the cabinets correctly necessitating a crown molding of some type. I think that there are a few too many wall units especially on the long wall. I would suggest breaking up the look of soldiers in a row by incorporating some 4 foot long plus or minus staggered shelf units to the left of the large window. Do you have a pantry? Even if you install all of the cabinets it will look fine especially if you need the storage but I definitely would leave out the two wall units flanking the large window as it looks congested.

I think the pendent wholes look off center due to angle I took picture plus the island will have a 15in over hang on the left and front side for seating. I have a 28in pantry next to oven cabinet. I do love the storage of the cabinets but I'm open to suggestions or change. I can already see how the softet isn't going to line up properly in some spots. I'm not sure how that's going to be fixed.

what about leaving out the one one the right, and adding glass doors to the two center uppers?

Cabinets should go to ceiling. Are they sitting on counter waiting to be installed? What color is stain going to be. Or is that it?

What will counter be? Hardware, brush nickel long pulls are nice. I hope you are painting or staining these cabs.

I like the idea of maybe adding more glass fronts to break it up. Yes cabinets are waiting to be installed still. They will stay ivory with a stained island.

i like the cabinets white, with the contrast of the island. I think the glass doors will give that little extra.

You were wise to have the cabinets run from window to window--because once the backsplash is being installed you will find that you have the necessary edges to contain the tile. So many dilemmas on here deal with the random, edgeless wall space that leaves the backsplash tile looking lost and directionless. That being said--what is the plan for that super narrow cabinet on the right side of the window? It looks like there will be some wall showing on both sides of it--which means . . . your next dilemma is going to be asking for help with the backsplash over there and how to elegantly end it in the absence of a neatly framed space. Your cabinets are smashing--of course the room is hard to look at now, but MAN is it going to come together! Have you discussed with your contractor the addition of under-cabinet lighting? While the place is still a construction mess, make sure you install good-quality, hard-wired under-cabinet (wow--three hypens!) lighting before the backsplash goes in. Mine were installed during a reno, and each one has its own on/off and dimmer AND each one is controlled by one wall switch. I've covered all the bases for how it might be used. I L.O.V.E. how it turned out.

There will be about two inches around the window on both sides. I haven't found a backsplash yet. I keep thinking subway tile but not sure. Our kitchen opens up to the living room with a stacked stoned fireplace so I'm thinking I need to match it some how. We're pre wired for led lights under cabinets & light in corner glass one. I'm thinking putting glass fronts on the big cabinet by the window. That might help break it up to.
