I imagine it would. i would also add colored LED light strips to the ceiling in the main room for more light and dramatic look.

Great. Thanks for the feedback. This pic was just to give an example of the paint color/contrast. That room will all be that pewter grey including the arch. Across from that room is the kitchen which is that light color. That light color goes all the way down the hall way and the dining room and formal living space which are off of this hallway will also be pewter grey. Should be good?
