What type of rock did you use? Any issues with blowing leaves off?

    Hi there!

We used two different sizes of the grey rock common to Colorado. First, we laid landscaping paper, then we used "grey breeze" to fill the first 4 inches - this is a dustier and "dirtier" dust/small rock mix that compacts solidly over time to almost behave as cement. The top 1-2 inches is "grey chip" (about 3/8" rock - the whole rock version of the breeze).

This patio is fairly new so we haven't experienced leaf blowing season yet...but, we DO have a walkway on the other side of the house that has been through 6 seasons of walking, sweeping, leaf blowing, snow, etc. and is just now needing to have a refresh of that top layer only. It's an incredibly efficient and economical way to get a great patio. Using the grey chip as the top layer also keeps dust out of the house better since it's less dusty and less likely to cling to shoes, pet's feet, etc.

    Thanks for the question!

Hi there! We use Hardi Panels for our siding. These panels are custom cut and painted at our factory to fit our modular system. Thanks for the question!
