Is the court lit or not? Or is it just photo trickery?

Looks like photo editing, the light is very inconsistent in some areas, like the notches at the red square. I'd love some confirmation though.

It's a poorly taken hand-held photo which needed a tripod to account for the low light. Instead of using a tripod with a long exposure, the photographer did a very poor edit job on the picture, artificially (and sloppily) brightening the lines of the court as well as increasing the vividness of the colors through a computer program like Photoshop.
