My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

      The ceilings are 8'6" high.

      Does waxing soapstone help keep it from scratching better than mineral oil? I love the look of soapstone, but the sample I got (oiled) is a mess just from carrying it around for other kitchen selections. I can't imagine how scratched up the counter top will get in a working kitchen. Help me decide-the cabinets are coming in in 3 weeks!

      Neither will completely safeguard you against scratching. Soapstone is beautiful but you have to be willing to live with the patina that will occur.

      The tile is a matte 2x4 subway tile. We selected a medium gray grout. Glad you liked it.
