Please tell me the size of the room and the dimensions of the daybed/bookcase combo. Is this something that can be purchased?

I don't know why they say ASK A QUESTION, when some decorators couldn't be bothered to answer them. But I also put some blame on the people asking. They ask inane questions. They are not clear about what they want to know. If you want to know the price of something you can't afford it. Do some homework yourself before being so lazy you just ask the decorator. I found a lounge with gorgeous mirrors in it. I didn't whine to the decorator about size, etc, etc. I just figured out what the size must be. Made sure I got the best "silvered" BEVELLED mirrors, and had them made and put them up. The room is a LONG way from finished. Still painting, having headboard covered, and carpet replaced. Buts peeps do some work yourself before you ask " dumb" questions. And decorators, try play the game and help out the people supporting you.

I randomly stumbled across this post from Ms. Owens tonight, and I have to say: how incredibly rude and arrogant. To say that someone who asks about the cost of a particular piece is indicative of their inability to afford it is the definition of snobbery - and ignorance. Most of the time, people who are concerned with price are the ones who actually can afford what they like - and that ability is directly linked to their sense of economy and prudence. On top of that, Ms. Owens, your profile indicates that you are a "pro" of some sort. If you happen to be a decorator, which seems to be somewhat implied in your description of your interior decorating wisdom, then you ought to be careful not to bite the hand that feeds you. it seems to me that a truly "pro" decorator would restrain themselves enough to avoid shaming thepeople who would represent their clientele demographic (namely the dumb "peeps" you call out here).
