I just went thru this same pain....they have great bar stools for super prices at Cost plus world market-the bar stool I loved would look beautiful in your kitchen-my only reason for not purchasing was the fact that the stools are fabric, and with 3 young boys I thought this probably would not be the best choice. I went with leather and as sad as I am that I loved the soft look of fabric, for practicality these have been great- best of luck-oh and ck overstock and wayfair.com
