Hi all, just moving into our new house next week. The attached pictures are how the rooms currently look.

Our taste is mid-century modern-- so when we move in we are thinking to paint the rooms a white or light grey to give it that more modern feeling.

Looking for recommendations though to how to make these rooms feel more updated and modern-- paint colors, color to paint the fire place, furniture ideas, curtains/blind ideas, anything else you recommend.
