I have six six-foot windows that are 18 inches wide, side by side along the outside wall of my kitchen which sets on the front of my house and looks out onto the road. My kitchen and living room great room are dark due to the house facing the wrong way. I need something for privacy at least halfway up, but am wondering if half shutters across the bottom of each window would be in style. My trim is dark wood, but anything other than a light color would darken the room too much. What should I put in these windows? The walls are toffee and the kitchen cabinets are cream with a chocolate glaze. thank you.
