Love the sofa and the colors!

Can you do two seating areas? One facing the TV and one the fireplace? Maybe only put a grouping of 4 chairs with a round coffee table by the fireplace and the sofa in front of the TV. Put 2 chairs on either side oft he TV and a sofa table behind the sofa to separate the two seating areas.

I agree with iwantit -- the room looks big enough for two seating areas, one in front of the fireplace and another in front of the tv. I'm not a big fan of television sets over fireplaces because it seems too high for viewing and takes away from the fireplace in my opinion. If your husband is six feet tall, go for a bigger couch, especially if this is the main area for watching television. Seems like it's important that your husband be able to comfortably live in the living room! The sectional you love is gorgeous, and doesn't seem huge for a sectional. What are the measurements?

That is a pretty small sectional, as sectionals go... Something that I suggest to people quite frequently, is, rather than a sectional with two seats and a chaise - consider a sofa, with a chaise height ottoman instead. Think about how you will use the sofa, what a typical gathering in your home will be like. With a sectional with the layout like you posted - two people can sit upright - and one person can lounge, or sit on the foot portion of the chaise, and not have a back rest. With a sofa and ottoman, you get three seats with backs, and one movable backless seat. Also, when you are wanting to "Kick back" with the family - with a separate ottoman, more than one person gets to put their feet up. ...Just some food for thought. I agree with the idea of two seating arrangements - if you can do a rough floor plan, with locations and spacing of the windows and doors, I might be able to do a quick spaceplan for you.

Thanks! I like the idea of having the sectional by the T.V but that is a walking area there.
