My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    The light is the Trace Light by Tech Lighting. I have used it many times. It's a beautiful piece!

    We are planning to introduce a similar style (in seashell) that we intended as a flush mount. Turns out we cannot get UL approval because of the build up of heat inside. Hence the "bowl" has to be dropped by about 2 1/2 inches leaving a gap between lamp and ceiling. How do you view this from a designer's perspective?

    As you can see from the picture, this light also is suspended by wire as a semi-flush mount as you describe the light you are planning to introduce. As long as the bulbs are hidden and the suspension is visually attractive I would think a seashell version of this light would be a beautiful design!
