you are in need of a contractor, at least for advice, load bearing walls, plumbing, gas, electric. there is a switch on the island wall. this is a very old kitchen, that has been adapted a lot of times but not solved. Clear ALL the clutter out of there. the cabinets look new, so they can be re used. the shed becomes a pantry........is it legal addition? the island wall comes out as far left as you can take it. cook top wall oven. where does that door go? can it be eliminated or moved? fridge is idea for that space.

Your best bet with this is to measure it all out and start creating a floor plan. You can see what will work and won't work. You also need a contractor and a structural engineer to make sure you can take walls down. Good luck!

It's hard to tell from your pictures where most things are located. I agree with Flair Lighting that a contractor is needed. First, I would clean off all the counters to get a better idea of the cabinets you're working with. Afterwards, like Design Connection suggested, create a floor plan of your current kitchen, and then maybe sketch out another one of where you would prefer your range, and fridge to go. Keep in mind of electrical outlets etc.

Can you take out the cupboard that the mircrowave is sitting on and put your stove there? The big garbage can should not be in your kitchen...put it by the backdoor if possible. Put your microwave on top of your little refrigerator. Find another place for your aquarium....you need that as work space. If you can move the stove into your kitchen, you have that space and could get a tall utility cabinet to hold your extra cleaning supplies/canned goods/misc. so that you could have clean workable counter space.

get rid of the shed, now you have wall. take out all the wall where the island is. looks like one beam may have to stay. work around that. if you need the door on the right have it swing out if possible. or if it can go.....or be moved....... side note if there is other access to the patio close it all off.

Yes I he shed is legal it's just a horrible layout. I was thinking of making that a pantry and putting a door there. I have to buy all new appliances including a stove and a refrigerator. Where could I put the counter stove and the wall oven at? Maybe the wall oven could be at the end where that add on counter is maybe after that Island wall can come out as far as it can go, I can add a center stand alone Island and add the counter stove there. I have been looking for a contractor but everyone is busy is Philly in which I have contacted thus far.

you dont have enough space, to do all this seprate just get a stove.. keep it simple loose the shed.so you can put your fridge there. you will have storage under the island above and below the counters.

Congratulations on buying your home! I also bought a fixer-upper, and it can be a lot of fun, but also full of surprises. I agree with others that you need a professional with structural expertise. This reminds me of my old kitchen in an early 1900s building near Boston, except that yours has been modernized more. Mine still had the original sink with a high back and a skirt under it. Probably most of your kitchen was originally on the back wall and the stove less than two feet wide. Later a bigger one wouldn't fit, so they put it in the shed, whatever that space used to be.

It looks like the shed window is longer but partially covered? You might want to think twice about losing it because it doesn't look like you have all that much natural light. Your floor looks really interesting, so consider keeping it if it's in good shape. I wouldn't go too far with layouts until you see what can be modified and what can't. I'm guessing that the door next to the fridge leads to back stairs. If so, it may be your fire exit and you may not be able to block it.

How old is the house? Where was the stove originally, that is, ,before it went out on the back shed?
