Natural Wood windows and doors - wall colors?

Hi Everyone,
We just moved in and are thinking about painting the entire interior of our house. Right now the previous owner picked a lot of varying browns for the walls with cream cielings, and has a red (with orange undertones) dining area. I think we was trying to match the woods tones in the house so that flow.

The house to me has a california ranch type feel, with lots of squares, and stright lines. Nice big open windows. So with the natural wood windows and doors we are thrown for a loop as to what to do for wall colors.

Our last place was painted all high gloss White trim, with colored walls ( think sherbert colors). Loved the look and feel of that. Bright, airey, clean, fresh.

But now that i am in completely different space, and I dont want to fight it, i want what i have to work for me. I am thinking about going all white through out to make the natural wood windows and doors pop and I believe that it will get a fresh modern feel to it by doing that. People have suggested sticking to Ben Moore, but can anyone suggest a Color white, with will work for all the rooms.

The house faces west, and We get some nice light in, now that we had the trees cut back from the windows. And then what do i do about the cielings? Same on cielings?

Please see the attached photos, Any suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
