need help in choosing top for counters in kitchen

I see alot of your kitchens that use Carrera Marble on the counter tops in the kitchens. I have been told it will scratch and stains very badly. I love the carrera marble. Any suggestions. They have suggested silestone, but I hear it is very expensive.

Quartz that looks like marble is great alternative to real marble. As for cost, I checked and found quartz to be either similar or less than real marble. Check Quartzmaster Calcutta grey as an option....here's a picture.
