In creating our Perfect Pebble tiles we do a number of things to find the ideal balance between the natural look of the rounded pebbles and creating a comfortable flat surface.
1. We only pick pebbles with a flat even surface.
2. We cut the backs of the pebbles to insure a thickness within our tight tolerance.
3. We hand place the pebbles in a tight interlock to minimize grout joints.
The result is a very flat, even surface with a curved, natural appeal. See attachment for visuals on this approach.

We have similar pebble tile in our master bath shower and it's perfectly comfortable. I love it.

We found some samples and tried standing on them. It was not very comfortable; it definitely felt like we were standing on rocks. After some additional research, I found "mini-pebbles." I like the look better, actually, and they're comfortable as well!

Can this tile be used outside around a pool?

I have purchased a home with the pebble stone on the shower floor, I love it and the look., however, there is a milky white color in areas, how/what do I use to clean this? I am having alot of trouble getting this off!
