Dark/Light vanity top? Blend with vanity or blend with floor?

My remodel will have a charcoal and cement toned tile for shower and surround. The vanity and mirror will be white. Challenge now is to decide if I should go with a dark vanity top to pull the color from the shower wall and floor to the mostly white opposite wall? Mirror will be directly across from shower (floor to ceiling tile) and mirror is 48x 40". Fixtures are brushed nickel. The bathroom is a traditional ranch style bathroom. Please share your ideas.....

if you add too much dark, all the light in the room will be soaked up. i would consider a lighter color to help reflect some light, and keep it from feeling to cave like.

It’s kinda hard without pictures but what about a pretty marble or quartz that’s white but has the charcoal marbling? That way it’s light and bright but still pulls in the charcoal color and adds pattern
