If the roof was more pitched I would say yes, but with it so low it would not look right.

Don't paint or cover the stone, and the window trim should stand out more.

Landscaping will help.

I would hire an Architect or qualified residential designer to visit, look at the house and offer recommendations based on your goals and working budget. The cost of design work for an exterior renovation shouldn't be prohibitive.

Seriously folks, get some parking for your guests in the street, and bring them in from there through a welcoming area. If you feel the house is too horizontal, plant some trees in the front welcoming area to provide the peaks you seek. Your guest are not visiting 7-11, welcome them in the front yard, not thru a porch where they rush to your door and then rush back to their car.

Enjoy the house as it is - find a humorous name for it if people comment on it.

Spend your money on your family and friends, and welcome them all to the ranch. Grass would help.

Also place some shade trees in the backyard to break the horizontal, and provide shade onto the house and yard.

Your house is a modern ranch. Leave it alone. what you need is landscaping. Probably advice is not going to change from all your posts. it would be cheaper to sell and buy something you really like.

It's mid century modern, it needs to remain that way. There is a lot of things you can do by adding some texture and modern materials on the elevation, but raising the roof and adding Gables is not a good design solution.
