Are your gutters and downspouts just regular "factory finished" white? If so, how do they look up next to the Stone White color match on the house? I'm going to paint brick with Stone White Marvin windows, and I'm a bit worried the super white gutter downspouts will really stand out. I know it's a minor detail but was just curious about how you think they look on your house? Thanks.

lhearne That's not a minor detail at all! It makes a big difference. Yes they were factory finished but we were able to choose out of a variety of whites. The color was extremely close to the Marvin white. We've been very happy with the house color - not too stark of a white, but not too warm, either.

You wouldn't happen to have the SW formula? I received a formula from one Sherwin Williams (in a town 3 hours away from me where the Marvin Window dealer/installer is located) who called it in to my local Sherwin Williams. We did a test area on our brick and boy is it white! So then I took the Marvin Stone White clad sample to Sherwin Williams and they scanned the sample and said an actual match would have just a tad bit more black and gold than was was given to us by the SW three hours away. Whew! Dilemmas! Thanks!

The formula is on the paint can, but it is different for type of paint...so Super Paint vs. Resilience vs. Duration. The formulas are different but the end result is the same color if that makes sense.

As a follow up question, do you know the manufacturer and “white color” of your gutters or do you know where you purchased them so I may call and ask? I’m planning on doing the Marvin stone white match on my house but the four whites and off whites in gutters I can choose from are either too light or too “linen”. I’m wondering if there’s another gutter material manufacturer out there with a closer match? I sure hate to paint my new gutters. Thx!

I apologize for not responding earlier to this! I don't have the name of the company that installed our gutters, it was taken care of by the builder. We recently had to replace a section by a different company, which is a completely different white. We were nervous about the difference to start with but it ended up unnoticeable, probably because it's curved and not on the same plane as the house & windows, so I think you'll be ok with whichever you find closest to the Marvin white.
