Look on line for second hand furniture and oftentimes it can be solid wood which will outlast anything your purchase new at a low price. Painting it will make it look new and interesting and navy would be a great color. If you can find a trundle bed and as he gets older and has a friend sleeping over, you can pull out the mattress. A dresser (can change the knobs if buying second hand) and side table with a lamp. A chair is needed and a large wicker basket or a low (maybe white) bookcase with baskets for his toys. Adding a blackboard is fun. Some bamboo blinds (but be careful with the cords). [houzz=]
