I just completed my second remodel in Nashville, Tn and am so pleased with the results that I want to share them with Houzz, my favorite online site for anything to do with home desings!

Wonderful reno and I love that the house is still recognisable as an update of the original. Well done!

It's cute as a button! Although I find the cedar color kind of jarring paired with the cherry red. I'd be tempted to pickle it white so it doesn't compete with the red accents. Very nicely done inside too. What a lot of work!

Absolutely beautiful! Love the darker grey on top of the white.....very nice touch...and the exterior?! WOW, eye catching now, whereas before a person would have just driven by! Well done!

Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone!! ...for those who asked for more pictures, here's a couple more before and afters. The first is of the living room/entrance and the second is of the 2 tiny bedrooms that I made into one large master bedroom. Unfortunately I can't seem to add more than 4 to the original upload, I think perhaps you're only allowed 4.
cahauer ; to answer your question about the kitchen, yes, the bottom is flat panelling and painted 'Moon Rise' from Beher.

I like what you are doing with the inside. I see you saved the old door and refreshed it with paint.

thanks! yes, I wanted to keep as many of the original elements of the house as possible.

Adorable! It looks like a doll house on the outside and I love the grey and white you used on the inside.

Looks very much like my first home I bought in Portland, Oregon in 1985. Dang! I knew I should have kept it!

Well done. I'll bet the people who had it before wondered why they didn't do the same. By the looks of it, I have to ask if it hadn't been rental property before you rescued it.
It hadn't been lived in since 2010 and was in terrible shape!...not sure if it was a rental.

Terrific!! I love that you are rehabbing and creating what you need and not tearing down to throw up something that is way more than anyone needs!

As a Native Nashvillian, I LOVE when folks renovate these cute homes instead of tearing them down and building McMansions on the lots. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see the third (hard to stop these projects, isn't it?). Is this in East Nash or Ingelwood?

thanks thebeatonpath, it's actually in Madison...I believe (hope) the East Nashville trend is going to keep pushing on upwards toward Madison...the prices in East Nash have skyrocketed so much that I'm pioneering a new area, yet still close to E Nash and downtown:)

I know Madison well, but what does one expect after being in the area all my life! haha I hope the trend moves toward Madison as well. I think I would rather live there than East Nashville.

Very nice! I especially like what you did with the exterior. Are you planning to add a path of some sort to the front entrance? I think it would add even more to the already excellent exterior.
