Yes, the one on the left is way too tall. They are also placed way too far to the right and the left.

HI -- Not very much for either -- you need another choice in between those two for height .

I like the second option, the one on the right. Good size and the linen shade looks nice. I'm not too keen on large mirrors above couches. I'd rather see something that reflects your personality and reflects some light. Framed art (with glass in front) will do that and it will look far more interesting.

If you want the lamp (on the right) to be a bit taller to see how that would look, you can put a book or something under it to lift it.
