I live in N Idaho 26 miles from the Canadian border (westside) not too cold.

    The redbud grows in USDA plant hardiness zones 4B to 9A. I checked the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map for your area in northern Idaho, and it appears to be in zone 5B.

    Check out this website for USDA plant hardiness zones in Idaho: http://www.plantmaps.com/interactive-idaho-usda-plant-zone-hardiness-map.php.

    Also, check with your local garden center to confirm your plant hardiness zone. Altitude may play a part in knowing if a redbud can grow in your area, also.
