definitely simpler doors in the same color/style as the top of the garage and the rest of the house. I would also suggest new planters at the base of the stairs if budget allows. You have a lovely lovely house and garden.

I would like to see everything in a med tone grayed olive with khaki or white trim to keep the facade from looking broken up. No shutters - it is already too busy looking.

Agree...no shutters. Maybe trim back the tall bushes to the right of the stairs. No sculpting, just natural looking trim. Get rid of the two black planters. Add one nice planter on the right side of the porch at the top of the stairs, with colorful flowers. Then step back and reassess any other changes. The deck with the umbrella looks like a great place to sit and relax!

Beautiful gardens, I believe trimming the height in the front so that both sides of the porch are reflective and somewhat similar in height ... but not strictly hedge style. Perhaps consider removing the small tree from between the front windows... and instead, a trellis with a flowering vine between those two windows would be quite appealing to the lines of the home...The hand railings on the front walk jump out visually... and if you can paint them and darker color or replace them I think the beauty of the home and it's lines would be more "front stage", If you replace them, move the ending post to the next step up and move your planters to that first step on either side. Painting all of the trim (including the garage door trim) in a pale taupe or a grey/beige (something to complement the brick but only a shade or two darker than the siding) would provide more cohesive visual presentation ...could you move the upstairs window air condition to a more discreet window perhaps? If so, some window flower boxes would be charming... The upper balcony is lovely and moving what appears to be the table/umbrella to the right corner would provide a nice balance there... again, very lovely gardens to the left of the garage.

I suggest keeping your white trim. It is appropriate for the house. Do not add shutters as this house does not need them and would appear more busy and crowded if added.

The beauty of the house is in the brick, the porch and interesting main roof line. Thus, the addition to the left front should recede and let the bricked area shine. To do this, I suggest painting the siding a medium to dark grey with a blue undertone (like your shingles). If you do that and like it, then I would consider painting the upper siding as well, perhaps in a lighter color from the same pallet.

I also suggest painting the wood part of your front door a deep dark grey from the same pallet. This will help if stand out. Since the door is not centered with the steps, it needs something to help create balance. Placing a large traditional urn painted in the same color as the door and filling it with a large upright boxwood or something with similar heft would do that. Adding some blue color in your foliage and flowers would tie in nicely as well.

Regarding the garage doors, if budget allows I suggest replacing them with a style that's more traditional. If not, then paint all white like the rest of the trim as the grid is a detraction.

Something else to consider is reducing a bit of the visual clutter at the front of the house. For example, can the window air unit be placed in a window on the side of the house? ... remove the two empty pots at the bottom of the stairs... replace the umbrella with a grey toned one and close the umbrella when not in use... move the table with the umbrella to the right side of the upper porch for balance... consider "window" box planters on the railings instead of hanging baskets. Hope these thoughts are helpful.
