Houzzers help!

I've got to finalize my backsplash today. What do you think? The crystal blue on the left or the green on the right?

I like both of them, actually. What if you used both.

I actually wondered that too. They are from two different stores. That might not be a problem, I could ask my tile guy. Here is the other side of the room and here is also a painting I was thinking of using over the fireplace.

They are so similiar, but I would go with the green just because my sister has your colors in her newly revonated kitchen and she found so many great complimentary accessories in fabic and pottery. Hold on.. I wrote the above before I saw your art...I would go with the blue.

Wow, beautiful vase!! I love both colors but I'm wondering too if maybe the one on the left goes better with the art work.

I would rather the kitchen look right than try to match a painting. I can always put the painting in another room. Does this glass tile go with the cabinets, counters, and floor?

Both are beautiful, but I slightly favor the green.

I think the green looks better - a bit of a deeper hue like your countertop

I like the one on the right. Has the gray undertone of your counters. Very pretty kitchen.
Found these two on Houzz, they are more of the blue family but with gray.

I know these colors might be a bit trendy. I realize we could go with a safe classic white background.
My husband worries that white might be to bland. We were trying to find a way to add a light airy color and we had marked several houses in Houzz that had light blue backsplash that we both liked. We really liked the feel of those kitchens and thought we'd do the same in ours. We've loved these inspirational kitchens for months now and felt brave I enough to try it. What do you think? Should we go for it?

You'll be bored silly with white. Follow your heart. I love the first one in your last post.

Thebighouse thank you!! I LOVE those pictures too. Sometimes it's scary to follow your heart when it's a bit different, or not as popular, or more risky, but it always helps to be reminded that we truly have to go with what we love. Now I just have to deside between the two. The blue looks a bit brighter than I had intended but I was hoping to go with more of a blue to tie in with the artwork. But the green is also beautiful and works well with the counters. This is hard!

I love the one on the right. The one on the left is a bit too baby blue to me.

I'd go with the green. Over the years I've found that greens work well with so many colors, probably because green is the most common color in plant material. Just my opinion, not scientific at all.

Hi amyfamyf - where is your fireplace mantel from ?
Hi---both are nice, but I favor the one on the right. The other is a bit fluorescent and could possibly make your white cabs appear yellow. Right is right! Hope this is helpful. Beautiful home... Good Luck!

Psychologically speaking, Green is a soothing and calming color. And I think it's the perfect choice.

I like the one on the right.

On right. Lighter one is too loud
