Help with media storage

I'm going crazy trying to find a piece of furniture to store our media components. I'm all shopped and internet searched out so I'm appealing to you! I have 80" between the wall and the fireplace to put a console/chest to hold the receiver, cable box, DVD player, and anything else we may acquire in the near future. TV is going over the fireplace. My media expert tells me the receiver should go on an open shelf so that nothing interferes with the remote and it is 17"x15"x7" and should preferably be open or at least with wire management in the back. Oh yeah, and it would be nice if it looked nice! We are kinda transitional style people. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Ikea has a great line called Besta that might work and as for the remote they work just fine behind glass

Please reconsider putting your TV above your mantle as you're going to have your head tilted back in an unnatural position that will cause you to develop myofascial trigger points, and cause chronic head and neck pain. I've had this most of my life, and while it can be dealt with, it's a challenge to deal with. If you do put it there, here's a great article to bookmark for when you have a chronic headache that won't go away:

In our previous house, the tv was over the fire place. The playstation and media box were on the side table next to the sofa where we sat to watch tv.
I got two super long hdmi cable on ebay. So the cable ran down the wall till the side table. At some point we removed the baseboards and hid the cables behind them.
Everything worked great.
The side table had two levels, so there were on the second level, and kind of hidden by the arm of the sofa.
The only thing is that the internal fan of the playstation is a bit loud so you could here it. But I don't play so it didn't bother me. And the kids did not mind at all.
