How do I ground/add warmth to this area?

My home is modern and I love this reading corner but it seems to lacks something.
My husband is suggesting a rug but I don't think it'll work as it's off in a corner . There are two rugs in the room already, one under the dinning room table and one under the sectional where we watch TV.
The area has the chair, ottoman, side table and lamp.
Any thoughts? Thanks everyone.

A cow rug on the floor at a diagonal is a good way to add softness. A thow over the side and even a mongolian sheep cushion... - This keeps the Eames chair the focus...

Curtains will soften the windows. A small bookcase on the right hand will identify the purpose of the space. Art above the bookcase and a larger side table will finish it off.

Maybe the bookcase goes on the back wall.

Love the idea of the bookcase on the back wall and the cowhide rug. There are some streamline blinds on the windows and don't want curtains.

How about a sheepskin rug in the natural shape so it doesn't compete with the other rugs but rather stands out as a feature rug? And then a fiddle leaf fig tree, behind the chair, that is all the rage now?

It is a nice place for reading. And the chair is awesome. I guess it is lack of a reading lamp. LOL

Unfortunately I can't do a plant (love it btw) as it's a vacation home. Rug sounds like a good idea though.thanks so much.
It doesn't show in the pic but there is a beautiful lamp.
I've decide to do,a rug and some kind of bookcase or small sideboard/bookcase under the window. :)

It's funny, I think I was stuck because I was trying to be too minimalist in this case.
