Looks to me like this designer has answered the same question (cabinet and wall color) several times over. As users of the Houzz website we need to look at the multiple photos of the projects to see if our questions have already been answered.

I agree, it's rude and frankly it's sloppy to post the picture on a website that aims to interact with potential clients and then make people hunt down to information.

There is no reason for the designer to have to answer the same question over and over again.

^Right, there's no reason for designers to appear gracious, as if they are in business and interested in attracting clients on a design advertising website.

If one reads all of the comments on each photo posted of all the angles of every room of said project, and can't see the answer to the repeatedly asked question, the impression is the designer will be THAT difficult to work with if hired. Keeping up with comments on Houzz isn't exactly an arduous task. Be it sloppiness or a superiority complex, ignoring your leads won't increase sales.

Designers: please don't use Houzz if you don't want sales leads.

Designers - please DO use Houzz to post pictures of your beautiful work. We understand that you are actually LOSING money by allowing people to copy work by browsing Houzz rather than hiring a designer. I deeply appreciate your postings - please please ignore people who seem to feel that you owe them personal design advice. Thank you!

wow- some people are rude! Those of you that complain- how many designers off houzz have you hired? None? That's what I thought.

I for one am glad that someone who has invested in their career (school, etc) is nice enough to post the pics, even if they don't answer. If you want these questions answered look for the questions in other pics first, otherwise contact your local interior designer and have her/him come up with a similar design and pick out all the colors for you.

Honestly, If you post photos I believe you should be willing to share your knowledge. The best way, is the to tag as many items as possible for people to access the answer without a response required. People that us this site live all of the country or globe for that matter. I view this as a design sharing site, not just a way for people to advertise for themselves.

Actually, no, designers are not required to answer all questions. Clients have paid a lot of money for designers to create these interiors. The designer posts these photos giving the public free inspiration, and the clients who paid for the professional services are being gracious enough to allow the public to use their homes to inspire. Houzz is a wonderful service but keep in mind that every time a designer answers a question you are receiving free interior design service. The designer spent numerous hours tracking down the finish materials you see in these photos.
