When we initially engaged Jamie, we tasked her with playing the role of a mediator between my husband and me, as both of us held strong opinions about our ideal forever home. Having admired Jamie's work at many houses in our neighborhood, we were confident in her design sensibilities. True to our expectations, Jamie exceeded them. Her patience and attentive listening skills allowed her to develop compelling design concepts that seamlessly integrated our individual preferences, resulting in an elegantly transformed home. Jamie demonstrated remarkable flexibility, readily accommodating changes requested by either of us, while also skillfully pushing back when necessary.

We hired Jamie to design our great room, kitchen, and powder room in our new construction house. At first, I was unsure about how to work with an interior designer and had all these questions in my head like, "Will she incorporate my personal style in the house?" or "Will she push me to use her vendors" and "What if she picks very expensive stuff that goes over my budget?" I decided to put faith in her and let her do her thing. During the process, I was giving my thumbs up and thumbs down but it wasn't easy for me to visualize the entire picture. Now that my house is all done, I can honestly say hiring her was the best decision ever. Our house turned out stunning and very unique—nothing like those photos in current catalogs or websites of kitchen and furniture stores. It's got our style, and it looks timeless. Jamie helped us with space planning very early on which helped us prepare electrical and plumbing requirements for our contractor. She also designed the details of my kitchen cabinets which can be quite tedious. She gave me a rendering that I could take to any cabinet maker. She never pushed me to spend more or go with a certain vendor. Wherever she could, she passed on her vendor discounts to me. She got along well with me as well as my contractor. Jamie is very passionate about interior design. I would highly recommend her services.

It was a joy to work with Jamie she was very easy to work with , .Know after first metting what I want. We redid master bathroom closet doors and repainted master bedroom. Would have no problem with refereeing her to anyone.

Jamie Kern is a delight to work with. Jamie helped us design all the rooms and bathrooms in our new home, and we love the home we have – a perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality. We had no idea how to go about designing rooms or selecting materials. We hired Jamie at a friend’s recommendation early in the project. She skillfully guided us with the selections while meeting timelines for the project. She designed a kitchen I absolutely love, and the bathrooms are gorgeous. She also helped in selecting lighting, flooring, vanities, crown molding, mirrors, paints and several other details. She presented us with detailed layouts for bathrooms including lighting plans that were immensely useful to contractors. Though we hired her for interior work, she also provided her inputs on roof tile, entry door, patio tile, and exterior lighting selections. Jamie has a great eye for color and style. She is professional, fun to work with and took a personal interest in our project. We couldn’t be more pleased. I highly recommend her services.

Design Theory Interiors worked with our general contractor and us to design and execute a lighting and electrical plan, a color scheme, and a furniture plan for our sunroom addition. Jamie took the time to really pinpoint our style preferences and budget so she could present several appealing options for color scheme, furniture layout, and finishes. Working with Jamie was efficient because her first recommendation was always the perfect style choice - and within-budget, too. Her combination of extensive industry knowledge plus a sense-of-style that can only be described as gifted equips her to enter a room and immediately choose things like the wood floor and paint color without any second-guessing. She encouraged us to get out of our comfort zone, and the results are stunning; our sunroom is our favorite room of the house. We would work with her over and over again.

Jamie is a knowledgeable and talented professional interior designer. She is well-honed in her craft and her years of experience show. As the photographer for one of her projects, the flow felt smooth and fun because of her warm personality and her ability to stay on top of everything. She has a brilliant sense of detail and I would highly recommend her.

Jamie Kern is amazing! I worked with her in the Atlanta GA area for several years. I love her style, always coming up with a unique layout for every client. It can be a bit scary to bring in a rich color, but no one can make a more colorful statement with their designs than Jamie - imho. First class!

I can't say enough good things about Jamie Kern. She designed 5 rooms in our house and we love every one of them. The rooms look put together and well thought out. Her eye for design is amazing. Her knowledge about paint colors, heights of ceiling light fixtures, proper furniture layout, etc was incredible. She provides fabric samples. diagrams, and pictures while putting them into a well organized binder for you. She was a pleasure to work with, as well. Her positive attitude and flexibility were great! She was able to meet our budget and was very timely with emails. Jamie went above and beyond with our project and we are so glad we used her services. You won't regret it!!

Jamie Kern was a dream to work with. She was fantastic with colors, textures, materials, furniture and window treatments. She did a wonderful job of merging our two unique styles ( husband and wife are never the same!) I would highly recommend her for any design work.

Jamie really listened to my ideas and created a plan that matched exactly how I most wanted my home to look. We just finished our first room. She told show to repaint it. Then she handled all of the details and literally transformed our room in a day with new lighting, curtains, furniture and accessories. I came home from work and felt like I was in one of those t.v. shows that change everything overnight. My room is now gorgeous and gets a lot of praise from visitors. She is really laid back and so easy to work with, incredibly reliable and very creative.
