I think bringing in some detail in the grey and white or all white would be very classic. I mean ceramic tile with a raised design on it...as a touch of tone on tone design...very classic.

Your color needs to address the backsplash and not fight it. Is there an adjoining room?

This is confusing..is the white wall with the vent the same wall as the tiled backsplash with the vent?

A nice tannish gray like your backsplash. BM Northern Cliffs or Revere Pewter.

Thank you for all your feedback. The wall with vent hood is the same wall with backsplash tile wall. The project is not finished yet. And I took photos before/after backsplash was installed just to show the colors of my cabinets, countertop and backsplash.
The kitchen is opened concept connecting to the eating area and the family room.

We like warm ,cozy feeling. Natural light from the kitchen window is not much but a lot from the patio door into the eating area. Hope this brings more ideas. Thank you for everyone's help!
