My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What is used as the siding?

    The siding is ship lap wood siding with a square groove. The siding was painted in batches before going up. We specified cedar are redwood but recall the developer/ contractor installing pine for cost savings.

    How has the pine siding held up? Any current pictures? Contractor chose Pine over cement/composite options? We are thinking about using Cedar but have heard about maintenance and repair issues.... hoping we might find a product that is low maintenance..

    The house has changed hands server times since it was completed. The last owner was a developer/ real estate agent. The completely gutted the house and redid the entire house including the siding. It is a shame because the house was not that old.
