By "stock parts" do you mean off the shelf at Home Depot or Lowe's? Have you looked at using IKEA?

I was looking for higher quality -- real wood, soft-close doors, etc. I have a terrific cabinetmaker but I've dithered too long & now I need it yesterday. :(

You could try looking at local reuse centers. I don't know where you are located, so I can't point you towards one specifically. We are in Boston, and we have the Boston Resource Center which often has high quality goods that have been donated for reuse. They're usually very reasonably priced and much higher quality than IKEA.

what's your budget?

Budget is secondary to speed at this point, I'm thinking maybe I'll go with this Ronbow wall-mounted one if I can get it quickly, unless you've got another suggestion? Plumbers (and husband) champing at the bit.

That's a nice one, go for it. Most of the modern stuff carries a bit of a lead time; at a quick glance I'm not finding much that would please you locally. I didn't see anything great over at the resource center today. My other suggestion would be look at any of your local showrooms and see if they're selling off the floor models. Good luck!
